What do we do?

At Pebbles Early Learning & Childcare we provide high quality education and care for children 0-6 years, as a sensitive and supportive service for families. Our team of educators are passionate about advocating the role of learning through play and ensure that children are seen as capable and involved learners. We place emphasis on the views that every child is a unique person with their own interests and ideas. Children mature at different rates and have individual styles of learning, that can happen every moment of every day and our role is to make the most of each and every one of those moments.

How do we do it?

We believe that children learn best when the program reflects their interests and has meaning for them personally. Our trained educators plan our program based on careful and considerate observations of each child’s knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities and interests. We utilise project based collaborative learning initiated by children, families and educators to encourage inquiry, creative thinking and problem solving.

Our facilities are more than a play space, we provide an environment that facilitates rich and engaging learning opportunities
that are safe, nurturing and inclusive so that all children have the ability to practice, explore and take risks. We provide a home away from home, where children and their families feel welcome, respected and cared for.

Why do we do it?

At Pebbles Early Learning we endeavour to work in partnership with families and the community to provide a healthy ,
connected and sustainable future for all children. We strongly believe that every child is unique and share the same vision as the United Nations (UN) Rights for the Child Article 29 (goals of education);

“Children’s education should develop each child's personality, talents and abilities to the fullest. It should encourage children to respect others, human rights, their own and other cultures. It should also help them to learn to live peacefully, protect the
environment and respect other people”.

We provide high quality education and care by:

  • Treating children and their families with respect.

  • Establishing a fun and safe place for all children – A home away from home

  • Facilitating and extending on meaningful experiences that are child lead and/or educator inspired

  • Creating daily observations and regular reflections

  • Continuous dedication to improving and evolving the quality of care education that we provide

  • Encouraging risk taking, practicing and exploring

  • Working in partnership with families

  • Forming meaningful relationships

  • Providing children with choice and maximising opportunities
